About Sevdha

I’m a professional dancer originally from Jamaica, and my journey into Indian and fusion dance began long before I ever stepped onto a stage. Growing up in Jamaica, I became fascinated with Indian movies and Indo-Caribbean music, especially chutney songs that played on TV and at community events. I was captivated by the color, storytelling, and movement. I remember watching and thinking, “I want to do that too.” That curiosity turned into a lifelong passion for Indian and fusion dance styles. A Love for Creative, Unforgettable Performance My work is rooted in creativity and the belief that dance should feel exciting, expressive, and fun—both to watch and to experience. Over time, I became known for developing never-before-seen performance concepts, including my signature wine glass balancing and wine spinning, theatrical sword performances, LED light shows, and other visually striking elements.

These creative details are never just for spectacle—they are woven into the storytelling of each performance, creating moments that audiences genuinely remember.

Energy, Interaction, and Laughter

One of the most common things I hear after a performance is:
“Where do you get all that energy from?”

My style is bold, high-energy, and playful. I love interacting with the audience, breaking the fourth wall, and making people laugh while still delivering polished, professional performances. Whether the setting is an elegant wedding, a lively restaurant, or a large festival stage, my goal is always the same: to create a shared moment of joy.
